Dear Colleague,
Welcome to the 2026 World Radiology & Medical Imaging Conference (2026WRMI), to be convened on October 22-23, 2026, in Brisbane, Australia. It is with the greatest pleasure that I extend a warm and cordial welcome to all delegates, eminent speakers, industry partners, and colleagues who will travel from across the globe to participate in this significant international gathering.
In my capacity as Conference President, it is a distinct honour to welcome you to a meeting exploring the future trajectory of our profession, under the theme “Breaking Barriers: AI, Innovation, and the Future of Radiology and Medical Imaging.” This theme reflects a pivotal juncture in the evolution of radiology and medical imaging, as accelerating technological advances continue to redefine how we image, interpret, and deliver patient care. The conference seeks not merely to showcase innovation, but to examine critically how emerging technologies—particularly artificial intelligence and advanced imaging techniques—may be responsibly, ethically, and effectively integrated into clinical pathways to enhance diagnostic accuracy, optimise efficiency, and foster more personalised and equitable models of care.
Over the two-day programme, delegates will engage with a comprehensive, intellectually rigorous agenda. Visionary keynote addresses, state-of-the-art scientific presentations, case-based discussions, interactive workshops, and industry-led demonstrations will be thoughtfully curated to promote scholarly dialogue, reflective practice, and practical learning. The programme is structured to ensure that all participants—clinicians, researchers, educators, trainees, and industry colleagues alike—derive meaningful insights and establish enduring professional collaborations.
A defining strength of the 2026WRMI lies in its truly international and multidisciplinary character. By bringing together experts from diverse regions, healthcare systems, and professional backgrounds, the conference will provide a valuable forum for exchanging perspectives, comparing approaches, and collaboratively addressing shared challenges, including workforce sustainability, equitable access to imaging services, data governance, and the ethical implementation of artificial intelligence. Informal discussions during breaks and social engagements will be as integral to this process as the formal sessions, and delegates will be encouraged to participate actively and contribute their expertise.
This conference would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of many individuals and organisations. I extend my sincere appreciation to the Organising Committee for their vision and tireless efforts; to the Scientific and Education Committees for developing an outstanding programme; and to our invited speakers, panellists, abstract presenters, and industry partners for their generous contributions.
Above all, I thank you, the delegates, whose engagement and enthusiasm will be central to the success of this meeting.
Welcome once again to Brisbane and to the 2026 World Radiology & Medical Imaging Conference. May these two days prove stimulating, constructive, and rewarding, and may they further strengthen our shared commitment to breaking down barriers and shaping the future of radiology and medical imaging for the benefit of patients and communities worldwide.
Warm regards,
Joel Vincent
